Had such a great experience with j1accom! The accommodation was brilliant and everything with the J1 went super smoothly. Made the whole thing so much easier and stress-free. Would definitely recommend to anyone heading over on their J1!

Would definitely recommend J1accom for your J1. The upper east side building is in such a good location for getting anywhere in manhattan and has so many bars and cafes around. They make it really straightforward to book and move in and the rep Mikey was really sound and helpful. We had a boat party and a bbq in New York too which were loads of fun and really added to the J1 experience

J1Accom Boston was a fantastic place to stay during my J1. The location was brilliant, everything was so near and the train station directly across the road made transport to work and day trips so easy. The reps were really kind and helpful and made staying here a great experience. J1 nights out organised with J1accom were really enjoyable and there was a great sense of community in the building. Staying in J1 Accom made making friends and organising travel so easy. Would definitely recommend this accommodation :))

After spending 10 weeks in J1 Accom Chicago, I couldn't recommend them enough. Everything was amazing, very well ran and put together. The location of the building was perfect making it easy to walk into the city or walk along Lake Michigan. Chicago has so much to offer and this summer has allowed for all of those things to be seen. Friends for life have been made too - take the opportunity if you can and go for it! Ronan, Ali, Adam and Stephanie were a joy to deal with and meet throughout the summer. Thar barr!

I would definitely recommend j1 accom to future j1 students in Chicago. The location is perfect being so close to the city centre. The building itself is great as well, the apartments are a great size. It was also really nice to be living in a building full of fellow Irish students, it felt like a home away from home.

REAL REVIEW FOR 119 COLUMBIA HEIGHTS. Short answer: Would I recommend, yes. Long Answer: Location & Local Transport. Comprehensive public transport ( 2,3,A,C,E,F ) within 5-10 minutes of the building. Also city bikes are a very underrated mode, especially in the evenings of the summer months when the temperature eases. (random: but for going out, 15-25$ would get you anywhere in Manhattan so x/4... it's always a temping alternative to save some time). Dumbo is less than a ten minute walk from the door of the building and offers many 'instagram story' themed coffee shops, bodegas and up market food stalls in a very impressive arcade. Downtown Brooklyn is two stops from Clark street or about a 20 min walk. I recommend walking at least a couple of times, as it gives you a chance to have a look at the humble local stores around the Brooklyn Heights area that would otherwise go unnoticed. Definitely a place worth wondering and getting lost in with a pair of headphones for those who are interested in American culture, food and just funny characters. If you are anyway interested in sports, along the river bank are piers that offer literally everything from tennis, basketball, an astro for soccer, outdoor gym, rollerskating rink, skatepark, open fields for kicking a ball, handball courts to even outdoor rock climbing. Regardless of what kind of fitness you'r into, you will find something to distract you. If your into running, Strava can show you some really cool tracks around the city or you can find local times to compete against, really fun. A new dispensary had just opened near the Clark St subway also, about a 5 min walk from the door of the building. They are open 24hrs. I'll say no more on this. If you'r into smoking, the promenade and 'Brooklyn Bridge Park' (5 min really cool walk over a sky bridge ) offer one of the prettiest views of the NY skyline. Bear in mind these are about 50m from the doorstep. Building Facilities: Yeah look obviously sharing a room with four other people can be a struggle, but you must consider that you're never really in the room to begin with, or at least in my experience here you get used to the sleeping situation after a couple of nights, especially if you make an effort with your roommates. After that, it's a pretty cool experience. All of the shared facilities are cleaned once a week, which sometimes can be a pain if people are being a bit careless, but in my time here this didn't cause a problem often. The girls at reception always make an effort and after about a week they really give the building a nice sense of familiarity. what else what else what else. Thats all I can think of. If your working anywhere central in New York, J1 Accom is defo worth the price. Dusht.
